School Wide Priority
SWP#1: Intercultural Competency
Through ongoing intercultural learning, we will continue to review our culture and curriculum. We will support faculty, staff, and students with intercultural competency training. Our school's focus will shift from personal and social intercultural development toward implementing the ISM Inclusion and Belonging whole-school framework. This framework will underpin our commitment to these powerful words from our mission:
a) Interact through honest, respectful, and open communication;
b) Acknowledge and celebrate our differences and encourage empathy, compassion, understanding, and respect for human dignity;
c) Live our lives positively, joyfully, and ethically.
SWP#2: Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)
We will review and refine our school-wide social-emotional learning (SEL) framework to ensure the continued wellbeing of students. We will inquire into approaches that create equitable learning conditions for ISM students guided by the use of CASEL resources. As a community, we have a collective responsibility and duty of care for students. All adults will model and act with care and respect when engaging with each other and with students
